The tattoo artist Dr. Woo shared the image on Wednesday night, adding the caption: ‘In loving memory of the greatest [star emoji] @nickcordero1 on his friend @zachbraff.’

The tattoo is a sketch of Nick wearing a suit and hat in the midst of singing and dancing – similar to a suit he wore during his time in the Broadway musical Bullets Over Broadway with Zach in 2014.

Amanda commented: ‘Need to come see you for one,’ to which Zach responded with a star emoji.

She shared a touching note on the one month anniversary of his passing to her Instagram.

She continued: ‘I wish I could see you, hold you, kiss you, talk to you, hear your voice, get a hug, see you with Elvis. I love you forever and always.’

Amanda shared a sweet snap of her and Nick with big smiles on their faces.

The duo married in 2017 and welcomed their son in June 2019.

Cordero entered the hospital due to his coronavirus infection on March 31st.

Nick was unconscious when he was first hospitalized, and he was initially mis-diagnosed with pneumonia.

The Waitress star later tested positive for the novel coronavirus, on April 1st.

From there Nick’s battle went from one complication to the next, as he was placed on a ventilator and experienced blood clot issues which eventually led to the amputation of his right leg.

He also received a temporary pacemaker, and entered a medically-induced coma.

Over the last few months, Nick was able to come off the ventilator and wake up from his coma, but the infection left his body and lungs so weak that he was never fully able to bounce back.

Cordero’s death was announced by his wife in a heartbreaking post on Instagram on Sunday, July 5.

‘God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth,’ she wrote.

‘I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light.’

Amanda explained that Nick was ‘was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk’ and that he was ‘an incredible actor and musician.’

‘He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday,’ said Kloots.

She went on to thank the medical team that aided her husband in his tumultuous months-long health battle.

Zach spoke about Nick during his podcast Fake Doctors, Real Friends with Zach + Donald with his co-host Donald Faison.

He talked about the last text message from Nick he received: ‘The last thing Nick texted me before he went unconscious was, I said, “Is there anything I can do?” And he said, “Please look out for Amanda and Elvis.”‘

Zach continued: ‘And I promised that I’m going to do that for the rest of my life. And I want to make him proud.’
